This is a great place to share ideas, pictures, likes, dislikes, any general discussion about the game. We can't wait to start talking with all of you!
As of now the classes we are working on are: Gunslinger, Gambler, Warrior, Preacher, Pioneer, Prospector, Ranger, Healer, Trader, and Soldier.
Each of those classes will have their own abilities. Outside of that there will be general abilities available to any class.
I have a few questions, so I’ll just spill them out here. I do apologize in advance it’s been almost 20 years since i play tested a game.
1. Will players be required to sign a NDA as well?
2. Will you be having a timetable for submissions of gaming data accumulated and will you be requiring a select format. (White Wolf was sticklers for that).
3. Obviously this is a testing stage, have there been previous testings and will we have access to any notes from those to help clarify any issues that may arise during testing?
Hey Jeff,
Glad to answer your questions.
1. As long as you hold onto the materials themselves (character sheets, rulebook, maps, etc..) players don't need to sign the NDA. In fact we welcome you talking about the game publically, we just don't want specific mechanics discussed at this phase. We would love a list of any players you do have so they can be credited in the book though.
2. There's no timetable for responses. We will eventually send out some questionnaires and we mostly hope to open a dialogue here to see where we can improve. There will be no required format.
3. There have been a few playtests. We've tested internally with friends as well as taking the game to Garycon this year.
If you have more questions ask away. I'm happy to discuss anything you may be curious of.

@Garrett Edward Spears We have tossed around the idea of adding some stuff in far future iterations of the game, but right now we're just concentrating on Historical West.
How about this for a story: In a fictional town known as Deadpass, marauders known as The Divine Troop led by "The Chosen One" have taken over. "The Chosen One" is just a normal man with wicked ambitions and uses rigged stage shows to prove to others that he is a supernatural being and has been "chosen" by "The Holy Mystery" to destroy all that is "evil." The town known as Deadpass is the "sacred fortress" for The Divine Troop to kidnap people (men, women and children), force them to listen to "The Chosen One" on what he was "sent to do" and if they believe, they become "converted." Later, no matter how old the "converted" are, they are automatically forced to be trained into become soldiers to continue "The Chosen One's" crusade. However, those who don't become converted, they are locked up in a jail and once in a while they are forced to fight each other to the death. So watch out, every townsfolk in Deadpass is a brainwashed soldier of "The Chosen One."
Thanks for the invitation.
what can you tell us about the character classes?

very good.
will there be skills?
Yes, each character will have skills split between fighting, interpersonal, technical, and survival.
@mike84515 very good. IM looking forward to playtesting.

Is this game going to be regular Wild West or is it going to be steampunk sci-fi West? Just wondering.
Initially we're aiming to just do traditional wild west.
@Mike Pisani Good. Just wondering.
